The trend seems to be picking back up now that outdoor humidity and temperatures are on the rise effecting our indoor environment. When the weather broke last fall customers problems with poorly controlled humidity began subsiding. Now that our normal summer weather is back problems are on the rise once again. This is why continue on monitoring of indoor humidity is a critical matter. If you’re into or humidity consistently reaches 60% or higher then you know there’s a problem that you need to solve. Offering the problem lies with your HVAC system. There are a number of problems especially associated with newer systems. Some of the problems are associated with sizing issues, some are related to improper fan speed and some are related to improper variable speed settings. If your HVAC system air handling unit is located in the foundation crawlspace this can be a cause for additional concerns. Monitor humidity levels and track and chart them. Call for a professional indoor air quality consultation if you have concerns. If you don’t get satisfactory results reconsider calling on another qualified professional to assist you.
